"it's an incredible one, what it jumps on, what it doesn't jump on. last week we had a pretty decent rally here despite yellen's initial comments, when it pushed it down. but the fact is the market looks like it's poised for some recovery, not the market itself but the economy looks like it's poised for recovery and in the midst of it, we'll have to see what employment is bringing us. if that brings us good news, this thing's gonna take off." what market movers will you watch for this week? "for this week, look at retail sales. that's always a good one. we had lousy numbers, not so much last month, but the previous couple of months and that's always attributed to weather. let's see if that panned out." will it be critical to watch the ten treasury? "prior to yellen coming out last week and the fomc, the 10- year went down to 262, it's back up to 275-276. that's the one to watch and you see that increase, again, you start seeing a strong

trader daniel stecich of athena advisor services joins us now. there was a collective sigh of relief in the market yesterday but will that continue? >>i think it will. you have to put what happened in russia behind us and if you look at what happened over the course of the last week, the market had a decent gain. if you could take monday's loss out of itwe closed friday around 18.56 with a high of 18.59. you take all that out of it and we gained a few points no doubt and i think that's because of economic data. that's what we need to look at right now. >>exactly. we have a lot of it coming in today as well as the jobs number on friday. >>yeah, the big one today is going to be the institute of supply and management non- manufacturing. keep in mind that 70% of our economy is driven by consumer demand. i believe this number will be good. we had a good manufacturing number. there's no reason to think this one won't be. the big question is going to be employment on friday. i'm hoping for a better number. overall, i think we're looking pretty good and

trader daniel stecich of athena advisor services is joining us now to talk about this market reaction to the gdp. what do you think daniel? > >i don't think we saw any surprises on the gdp. they were pretty much expected where it came at. what's more surprising to me is that they make these robust announcements early on and then they all kind of fade away. all things being said, the market reacted well to it so i don't think there's any problem going forward. > >what do you think about all these shorts that have been piling into the market, getting it wrong...what are they to do and will this pile continue? > >the shorts are getting in for the wrong reason. you had a lot of screaming from the rooftops about how the sky is gonna fall and it didn't fall. you have to be a little more flexible than that and look at things over a time period. is there a possibility they could be right? there's always a possibility but unless i see fundamental change in the economy i don't think they're gonna get it. > >we have a jobs number coming up on friday. care to take a stab? > >the be all and the en
