joining us now is daniel turner. daniel, great to see you.sterday at all. oil prices, instead of coming down as a result of this announcement, they went up $2 a barrel. i mean, you know, it's down a fraction today the but nothing as to the gain of yesterday. what's going to happen with this decision? >> yeah. this really has absolutely no impact on gas prices. the only way to bring down the cost of gas, to bring down the produce of oil is to radically increase the supply. remember, we are manufacturing, we are producing 2 million fewer barrels of oil a day than we were a year ago, and as edward laurent was just saying, the reason why is because they have scared off investors. the administration has put tremendous burden on oil and gas producers, so it is very hard for them to produce oil now. releasing 50 million barrels, which is just a few days' worth of oil, is not going to help the supply in the long run. the decisions that we're feeling now, the impact has come over 10 months of bad incremental decision by this administration. it's all c

daniel turner is joining us we mentioned earlier on about this push right now, the administration is ec-plus countries to increase production. they don't seem to be budging, so we're not going to be getting any help from them to address these rocketing prices in our country today, notwithstanding. what do you make of that? >> yeah, and let's tie these two points together, your previous segment and this about opec. opec meeting ended a couple hours ago and they said no they aren't going to increase production, and so joe biden could obviously put americans back to work, american oil & gas people, american pipeline workers, but he's choosing not to do that and your previous report talked about these small business owners. who were these politicians making these decisions that are destroying american lives? they're not people who use weed wackers or lawn equipment or run a small farm like i do here in rural virginia. they're not people who operate small businesses. they're not the pipeline workers who i talk to, who for 11 months now have had no income and they're told by this president

let's bring in power to the future, executive director daniel turner related to this.since september, 19, because of the new covid variant concern you know, is this drive-- is it driving the inflation do you believe or are oil prices adding onto the inflation we have already seen? >> first off, i think any drop in prices is good for consumers because they are making up the difference. the high energy prices is one of the main drivers of the inflation because everything in the world, everything in the marketplace, everything from agriculture, manufacturing requires energy and its energy prices as they go higher, electric bills, furnace bills ect. for things like even solar panels, those higher prices are passed on to consumers, so a reduction in energy costs is good. i hate to see it driven by this. i would rather see the lower prices because of an increase in supply like we had in the previous administration, a better way to lower prices rather than celebrate the fact that this covid variant is driving down demand is to increase supply. it's better for the consumer. it

daniel turner, power of the future, founder ceo. thanks for coming by. >> thank you, neil. neil: let's get the read on all of this from scott martin. scott, i'm just wondering, that the administration goes through to tap the petroleum reserve as at least 11 democratic senators have urged without looking to increase oil production in this country, isn't that like a bandaid approach in the meantime? >> yes. that is what i was thinking, neil. temporary fix to a long-term problem as you and dan talked about. tap the spr, alleviate some of the price pressures into the holidays. january, february, march and beyond, we'll see the administration's attack on fossil fuels, especially oil. you will still have price problems next year. you're right the process the way the administration attacked pipelines, driven up price. we're seeing that come through. neil: let's talk a little bit about the general inflationary picture. oil cominging a a little bit don today, eye-popping 82 bucks a barrel. gas increasingly costing over $4, some cases $5, how long do you think this drags on? >> a lon
