we are expecting a news briefing from the mayor of miami dade county that daniella levine cover that could happen at any moment. and that will tell us whether anybody else has been found and what the latest numbers are. the latest that we have been given is a 159 piece people. missing 4 people are dead that we know of, but we really haven't heard any update any significant information on rescues or other activities since friday morning. so that means that that fire has really delayed the ability of those rescue workers to get in there. they've been working in 12 hours shifts. they're not stopping, but they can't really go in there until they know what that fire is and where it's coming from. they don't know either of those things now. so those 159 people, many of them may be under that rubble and the fire and rescue workers simply cannot get in there. we hope the mayor will be able to give us an update telling us about some progress on that rescue effort. but right now, really nothing has significantly changed in terms of the numbers of people that we're hearing are missing, or those

daniella, i'll ask you the same question.pe for any chance of survival stand at this point? >> we are still in search and recovery as you know and they're working around the clock, the best teams in the world, starting with our very own. so they still have the anticipation that they may be able to find some people. >> and what now of the efforts to maintain the, i guess, confidence in the surrounding buildings, especially buildings that might have similar dates of construction or similar contractors or similar inspection reports, what's the process to make sure the community is safe? >> absolutely. we're all so concerned and at this time the building that is a sister building just two buildings to the north has been inspected initially by the surfside building inspector who finds nothing immediately of concern but they're going to pursue with a more detailed engineering study. the residents there have been offered a voluntary evacuation, and as of last evening there were two, i believe, who had sought outside hotel rooms. so

daniella, i got to ask you, this ises the other part that confuses me of the current fight that democrats seemed to be having. what about current protests that's going to end up making a difference. i can understand if you are dealing with a mayor. you can go to the mayor's office and complain to him/her, i want you gone and i want you to do something. these protests that are happening right now. is it going to move joe manchin, a guy that i made really clear that i don't think will get reelected. and sinema does not seem like she's going to move either. what do you think of the values of these protests? >> it is valuable to show that there are people passionate about this issue. the american people support the bill and voting rights and support something getting done. just because right now joe manchin believes that he can somehow support something. we have republicans actually showing us who they really are. the majority of the american people want this done. i think it is important for people to go and protest and make sheer voices heard. yes, yesterday was a little performative but i

you've heard the mayor of miami-dade county, daniella levine cava over and over say this is still a search and rescue operation. i think perhaps privately, they are feeling the effects of such an effort to try to save lives and to make a miracle happen. and when there haven't been very many signs of life and when we've seen this process move excruciatingly slowly as it has to, they're essentially uncovering a set of remains every day or one or two per day. so that's very hard on them. so you imagine that privately they're having a very difficult time processing this. as far as the families go, i think we're starting to see a recognition that the odds of a miracle are starting to dwindle. it's been a very long time, and there's a recognition that the survivability of something like this, this specific kind of collapse, a pancake collapse, it didn't provide a lot of hope. and, again, there have been no signs of life. the instruments have not picked up on any sounds of breathing at this point. the dogs haven't alerted rescue workers to perhaps someone in a crevice or in an air pocket. so i th
