john layfield and danielle dimartino booth on fallout from this. john, let me start with you. i'm sure mixed reaction. i'm not sure we grade what happened in the market thus far. overall as reflection on the economy and impact on the stock market? >> this singular jobs number was not bad, not good. the trend is worrisome. 10th straight year of less than 3% growth. lowest we've had since measuring gdp. so the jobs that have been added have been part-time jobs. have not been as good. no other way to explain with 5% unemployment having 1.4% gdp so the trend is not good. this single jobs number, i don't think either candidate will be able to latch on to this either way to their side. charles: believe me, they will have talking points one way or another. you know, danielle, essentially what john was saying, to a degree wall street viewing this as goldilocks number even though the market is done. how does the fed view it? does it change anything? >> you know, charles, the data came out this morning gave whole new meaning to mixed. there was some good, some bad. i refer to look at fo

booth and a new overhead system went onli. be slow especially on the pike. right now things are moving along okay as we look at weston. our daniel miller is on the pike. how was the drive going for you this morning? >> daniel: gene, good morning. traffic is starting to pick up past the natick toll plaza that they are demolishing right now. definitely in the past half hour, traffic starting to pickup on the pike. we are headed eastbound toward we will go out on the pike to see the difference of what we showed you at the top of the hour. you can see vehicles bumper-to-bumper now as we get off to get on to the pike. this was a much different picture than what we showed you at the top of the hour. the traffic here as we exit on to the mass pike. there is a 15-mile-per-hour speed limit in place as the vehicles pass through these toll -- toll plazas this morning, and the reason for that is these demolitn booths and they are also traffic patterns that are also in place as folks get ready to experience this new electronic tolling system in place. of course, we are going to be out here all morning giving you this different perspective fr

toll booth demolition is expected to really take its toll on drivers and state leaders are warning if you take the mass pike, prepare yourself for what could be a nightmare commute on monday. ted daniel joins us live and drivers are being told this could be similar to commuting in a major snowstorm. >> the reporter: manual toll collection will end friday night at 9:45 p.m. and then the new changeover and today, the state's highway chief made it clear, pike travelers are going to be in for it and they should expect serious delays here. want to show you video we shot just about an hour and a half ago here at the natick service area. the line for e-z passes was out the door. the state is it getting rid of toll collectors and toll booths in an effort to save money. if you don't have one of those e-z pass transponders, you're still going to be able to travel the pike, the state will take a and send you a bill in the mail. >> easier collection method for everyone. i don't have to worry about forgetting to pay a bill and getting subsequent charges on it. i think the technology is just fine. >> the reporter: once again, manual toll collection ends on friday night and the first phase of the d
