danielle niles is tracking this and has the first look at the very light snow ed. >> i not going to have a big impact in terms of through the remainder of the day today because it's so light. so it looks nice and there may be a couple scattered coatings. temperatures is right around 30 in the city of worcester and low 30s in boston and light flakes but the ground is warm enough and not is coming down hard enough to create an impact. stray flurries along the plymouth and bristol county coastlines and you back up into the 495 belt and flurries in mansfield and worcester. there's some coatings west of route 91 and through flurries and light showers along the 128 to newton and in the city of boston through medford and maldin so snow showers. see the deeper blues you may get a brief burst of steadier heavier snow through the early evening hours and the skies look at that. clouds fill back in tomorrow. and we get another round of scattered snow showers that may drop a coating to perhaps as much as an inch. so low impact events but don't be caught off guard and look at this the average temperat

the first part of our storm is moving in, danielle niles is here with the timeline on when that snow will start. >> between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., the first round of our storm advancing into new york city now, it is mild enough it's plain rain to start before making the changeover. the burst of snow that comes into start here between four-8 p.m. interior. the closer you get to the coastline it is up to 1 inch. i see with some freezing rain and drizzle making that changeover across the interior through early on wednesday morning. there will be some slick spots especially outside of 495 for then we get into the warm-up, temperature spiked to near 60 on thursday it comes with heavy rain and damaging wind threats. our by our, we are going to take a piece by piece, through the afternoon between now and 5 p.m. you notice we are doing okay. but the snow will advance between five and 6 p.m. and fill in between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and a lot of spots. we started with some rain, notice midnight we make that changeover just north and west of boston, but still some pockets of snow outside of 128, colde

danielle niles joins us -- joins because first look at the forecast. >> it's crazy we talk bahrain storm and warm temperatures on february 3rd. there are areas of snow through central new hampshire and this extends to the mid-atlantic. notice a lot of the rain showers have been focused north and west of the boston. 495 north and west so back through southern new hampshirefrom lawrence and salem and concord and we have light to some moderate pockets and when you travel back across the region and through route 2 corridor as well. these showers are going to fill next couple hours. between now and 3 p.m. the rain advances in and temperatures rise so it's gradual process here today. with the temperatures coming in to the 50s and heading into the evening your commute home areas of rain even a few downpours as well and he think the rain will taper off -- i think the rain will taper off somewhat. but there's pockets of wet weather around. right on through the evening and steadier downpours skirting along the south coast during the first part of the overnight. and temperatures continue to rise so
