(danny collins - witness) "the kid was like, you know, kind of like, get off me, and kind of driving along." the boy's father showed up 10 minutes later. he says his son slipped out of the house while he was in the bathroom by climbing on a chair and unlocking the door. a pregnant mother ran back into her burning row house in philadelphia to rescue her toddler. they both died early this morning when they couldn't escape because of all the smoke and flames. the woman initially escaped with four other family members but realized her child was missing. she ran back in. firefighters found her dead with the child in her arms near a second-floor bedroom doorway. the cause of the fire is under investigation. the fire department says there were five space heaters throughout the home and no working smoke detectors.
