danville. maureen naylor. >> just about an hour a vigil will get started in vallejo for a fallen police officer. the 19 year veteran with the police department was known as a family man and was a popular high school girl's coach. tonight's vigil is being organized by local groups, church leaders say pastors have been counseling residents in the wake of the shooting. its open to the public and will take place at the church at 6:00 p.m. we have a crew there and will bring you live coverage. >> a man who fled the bay area as a fugitive 42 years ago entered a plea today for shooting at a police officer in 1968. ronald bridge fort plead no contest to firing at the officer. it was the same plea he gave in 1969. he eventually came back and satled in michigan as a college counselor. his attorney hopes he will be sentenced to probation when he returns to court in february but prosecutors are promising to ask the judge to send him to prison. >> testimony started today in the civil rights case involving former bart police officer -- one of five officers defending themselves in the lawsuit filed by bart pas
