reporting live, danya bacchus, abc 7 news. >>> all right, dan yeah, thank you. 5:34 now.s uber and lyft drivers will go on strike and drivers are expected to stop picking up passengers at noon. >> reporter jobina fortson live for us at sfo. jobina? >> reporter: good morning. many rely on uber and lyft to get to their destinations. sfo has warned taxi companies to be prepared to deploy extra drivers today and b.a.r.t. tweeting earlier this week about discount options for people to get to the airport as well. b.a.r.t. says that if you download their b.a.r.t. airport discount app, groups will save 25%. strike organizers say drivers in san francisco will turn off their apps for 12 hours starting at noon today. that's the same time they expect more than 200 uber drivers to protest outside uber san francisco headquarters as part of a national day of action. lyft drivers will be participating as well. the demonstration will be in seven major cities across the country. this is all coming ahead of uber's initial multibillion dollar public offering set for friday. strike organizers
