reporting live, danya bacchus, abc 7 news. >>> all right, dan yeah, thank you. 5:34 now.s uber and lyft drivers will go on strike and drivers are expected to stop picking up passengers at noon. >> reporter jobina fortson live for us at sfo. jobina? >> reporter: good morning. many rely on uber and lyft to get to their destinations. sfo has warned taxi companies to be prepared to deploy extra drivers today and b.a.r.t. tweeting earlier this week about discount options for people to get to the airport as well. b.a.r.t. says that if you download their b.a.r.t. airport discount app, groups will save 25%. strike organizers say drivers in san francisco will turn off their apps for 12 hours starting at noon today. that's the same time they expect more than 200 uber drivers to protest outside uber san francisco headquarters as part of a national day of action. lyft drivers will be participating as well. the demonstration will be in seven major cities across the country. this is all coming ahead of uber's initial multibillion dollar public offering set for friday. strike organizers

danya bacchus joining us live from highlands ranch, colorado, with the latest. >> reporter: good morninge are hearing from parents and students who experienced pure panic after yesterday's shootings. many can't believe they are dealing with yet another deadly school shooting. the barrage of bullets erupting just after lunch time sending terror through the colorado s.t.e.m. school. >> we were exiting the building, there was a of blood. >> reporter: one student, an 18-year-old, was killed. fernando montoya's 17-year-old son is one of the wounded. >> the guy pulled a pistol, i'm not sure, out of a guitar case and started to shoot. >> reporter: the students immediately put on lockdown as police went on the hunt for the shooters. >> as officers were arriving at the school they could still hear gunshots and as they were entering the school. >> reporter: parents waiting to be reunited with their children. >> you have no idea what's going on and the children are texting they're hiding under a desk and bullets are hitting their window, or things are hitting their window. it's a horrible feeling.

danya bacchus has more. >> reporter: the pair of shooters walked into stem school using pistols to unleashets. the shooters began firing in two separate locations. >> we exited the building, there was a trail of blood. >> reporter: police swarming the school in less than three minutes. bullets still flying as they arrived. encountering at least one suspect immediately. >> they happened to pick a door that they forced into, that one of the suspects was right down . >> reporter: eight students were injured. one police say was shot while trying to stop one of the shooters. some entered fleeing the campus to neighbors' yards. >> there was a young man with a bullet wound in the back west got them up. into the backyard. and slowly up the steps into the kitchen. >> reporter: kendrick castillo has died. the 18-year-old set to finish class in just three days. then graduate. police say the alleged shooters are both students at the school, identifying one as 18-year-old devon erickson. the other was a juvenile who they believed was female. seven miles away, in columbine, the massacre that killed 12,
