cbs' danya bacchus joins us now from new orleans. the whole world will be watching sunday.he super bowl safe? >> reporter: you're right. all eyes will be on new orleans and authorities say they've worked on this super bowl plan for over a year. they say there will no threat to the big game and say the city is the safest its ever been. with the count down to the super bowl lix under way security is already tight. no matter where you turn in new orleans's french quarter, you'll find law enforcement. >> we're very excited about this weekend, and we are really quite prepared. >> reporter: hundreds of armed national guard members along with thousands of federal, state, and local agents are on the ground to ensure the safety of those who visit here. >> i will tell you right now we have no specific credible threats to this event at the super bowl. >> reporter: department of homeland security secretary kristi noem visited the french quarter to see the security measures and stopped by a memorial remembering the 14 people who died during the new year's day truck ramming attack. autho
