work continues at the site of the strip mall fire in upper darby, several businesses remain closed two days after the flames sparked. katherine scott is there all morning long and joins us with an update. >> reporter: they have made a lot of progress here today the side of the street we are standing on they are able to clear the stores for opening and the road here as reopened and they are working to restore the power on the other side of this street and hopefully many of those stores are able to reopen and there are three stores near the pay less there is major water damage and the pay less is in ruin. >> the black smoke when as high as 59th street. >> the fire and smoke pours from the pay less and when it was finished the store was gutted. and walls were in danger of collapse and power was cut to multiple stores and the power was off all day tuesday,. >> they lose all the business and people that have to work they probably have to look for another location. >> crews were on the scene overnight into this morning tearing down the facade and loose bricks and then traffic was open to traffic and some stores on the block could open up
