darcy spencer is live near campus with an update on all of this. darcy? >> reporter: erica, students were expected to return to class tomorrow. that is not going to happen because of all this extensive damage caused by the weather. take a look behind me. this building is called the annex. it's one of the classroom buildings. what you're seeing are these tubes, the yellow tubes, the white tubes. basically they're sucking moisture out of this building. some of the steam pipes burst, filling the building with moisture. and now there is concern about mold. let's show you some more of that video from inside the building. the ceiling tiles had to be removed because of that damage. there is water on the floor. there is some flooding. to be off limits for at least a month. there is also heating problems across the campus. students are being held in four of nine resident halls, and work is also being done around the clock to get everything back to normal. >> this is our main physical therapy lab for this college. and we had just got finished remodeling this space.

news 4's darcy spencer with the latest now from investigators. >> reporter: montgomery county police were called here to this neighborhood pond right around 3:30 this afternoon. a resident had discovered remains and called 911, reporting a suspicious situation. this is chopper 4 video of the scene here at 14200 ballinger terrace in burtonsville. when police got here, they determined these were in fact human remains. they pulled the woman's body from the pond and l montgomery county police are still trying to figure out who the woman was and how she died. in burtonsville, darcy spencer, news 4. >>> a man was found dead today inside a home in germantown, and investigators are trying to figure out what happened. they think he was murdered. chopper 4 over the scene on crossridge way tonight as detectives were investigating. they tell us the man was found with some sort of trauma to his body. if you know anything, montgomery county police want to hear from you. >>> police in prince george's county are hoping a man they have been searching for has found his way to someplace warm. 65-year-o

news4's darcy spencer spent some time in georgetown this weekend on what's normally a busy saturday nighter: the potomac river frozen over in georgetown overlooking the kennedy center. along the waterfront, the fountain is flowing, but this doesn't look like a typical saturday date night. the extreme cold has driven many indoors. some ventured out to the bars and restaurants, but the outdoor fire pit deserted. vanessa hodov one of the brave ones. she went to dinner with her sorority sisters. >> reporter: what's it like being out in this cold? is it horrible? is it okay? >> it's definitely not horrible. it's okay. i mean, it's only cold when i'm outside, when i'm commuting. so i'm layered up right now. it's warm in the inside. it's not too bad. >> reporter: bitter cold didn't stop some from lacing up their skates and hitting the ice receiving. they're bundled up, and the exercise helps keep them warm. you knew what you were getting into, righ >> yeah. i mean, i wasn't expecting it to be this cold, but it's pretty solid out here. >> reporter: so you think you're going to cut the night short
