darcie spencer has seen that tape. she joins us live with the latest on this story. darcie? >> reporter: i have been able to see the videotape, it shows the suspect walking down the sidewalk. two officers approach from behind. one of the officers reaches around his waste area and strikes the suspect on the head. you see a flash, and the defendant's attorney tells me the flash was the officer's gun going off. and the suspect drops to the ground. fortunately, no one was hurt in that. this video was taken outside a construction company in brentwood. this all started friday night. two officers were patrolling the area. they saw a couple guys going into the gas station with masks on. they thought maybe this was a robbery in progression, so they went to investigate. one of the officers involved is corporal taylor. they confronted the suspects, they're at the store, and they say this particular suspect took a swing at one of the officers and then ran away. they caught up to him in front of that construction company right where that camera was, and that's where we're getting two dif
