darcy, are they still keeping people out of the hotel? >> reporter: right now people are not allowed to go back into the hotel to stay because all of the utilities have been turned off. but they are being allowed to go in, you can see here, some people going in to retrieve some of their belongings as well as some of their pets. people travel with pets nowadays. but they have to come back out. as you said, nine people were transported from the hotel here this afternoon after dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide were detected here. i'm told that eight of the nine people are hotel employees, and many of them worked in the laundry room. and that's where they believe that the source of this carbon monoxide poisoning is. four of the victims were taken to shock trauma in baltimore. their injuries are considered to be serious. fortunately, everyone is expected to be okay. now, the fire department here in anne arundel county had to evacuate the entire building, all seven floors. some people were here. other people were not here at the time.
