>> reporter: this arrest is number 30 for darius, a career criminal, legendary for taking buss for rides. he stole the greyhound bus from the port authority depot. it was scheduled to take passengers to virginia and when the transportation company realized the coach was gone, they used the on board g.p.s. to track it down in downtown wrook prook lynn. he was the only one on board and behind the wheel. the transit imposter's first brush with the law was in 1981, when he drove an e-train to the world trade center. in 2006, he was charged with criminal impersonation to trying to commandeer a railroad train. in 2008, arrested again for posing as subway worker. legends has it he has stolen more than 150 buses, often posing as transit worker and driving the routes. so previous lawyer he has said, he just unofficially drives routes, fixes tracks and takes tolls until police catch him. law enforcement sources say i told police next time he's going to try to steal a plane. >> elizabeth: a wick-thinking man with a camera helped catch crooks in the act. and while this neighbor couldn't stop them, h

since the fatal hit and run and this is the man police charged in that accident that took the life of dariusdash of allentown. he's 22-year-old royce atkins of hanover township. atkins confessed yesterday morning. police say condash was with a cousin an friend passing near airport road after buying candy at a convenience store. the nine-year-old apparently dropped some of the candy and turned around to pick it up. that's when he was struck. an anonymous tipster told police he became suspicious after noticing heavy front damage to the front of atkins car. police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident and added he had no explanation as to why the 22-year-old did not stop to help. police say the boy's heartbroken family is relieved there's been an arrest. >> obviously they were relieved. they're still grieving. it was -- it was a little bit of closure for them. >> reporter: just sad sorry. he was a member of the little huskies peewee too. over the weekend his teammates sported his number 34 on their helmets. if convicted atkins could face up to 10 years in pries on. >> a

darius boodoosingh will be arraigned on charges of illegally possessing a gun, ammunition, and drugs in his dorm room. the college says tips from students led to his arrest on friday. boodoosingh has been suspended. randy: new this morning. the state is getting ready to unveil a new plan of attack in the war on opioid abuse. we are talking about the state's four medical schools including here at boston university. today they're expected to announce a new cooperation to stop addiction before it starts. as we've often reported, the misuse of prescription painkillers can start a long road of addiction. the goal under this new agreement is for all 3,000 students enrolled at the state's medical schools to be taught the skills needed to prevent and control that problem. that includes a curriculum that focuses on evaluating risk before prescribing painkillers, treating at-risk patients, and managing abuse as a chronic illness. this is all part of governor baker's plan to battle the opioid crisis which claimed more than 1,000 lives in massachusetts last year. emily: commitment 2016. hillary
