darren peck is tracking our summer like temperatures. >> it didn't look like that at all in dolores yester today the temperatures turned thrninbut it tch. wasn't enough to keep the warm up confined. yesterday it was all about the warm up that happened inland. but today was san jose, oakland, and san francisco that did the biggest jump from one day to the next. all three locations. either 11 or 12 degrees warmer than we were yesterday. that's enough to grab your attention when you're outside. not to say we didn't warm up over yesterday for concord, santa rosa, and livermore. we did. we went up another 7 or 8 degrees. but you did most of the warming up yesterday. the winners are by far inland. concord hit 90 today. still waiting for the officials from the national weather service, but so far at the airport we've gotten 90 recorded there. so let's use that as the example. what would average be for a location like concord this time of year? 70. and showing the arcing orange line, we go from 90 to 83 today, and mid to upper 70s much of next week. we never get back to average. not in this seven-

darren peck is here to break it down. >> for obvious reasons, the snowpack in the sierra is at the front lines for the changes happening in our state from climate change. but what has happened over the last three weeks has water content. on april 1st we were at 63% of average, that was the big snowpack report. it wasn't that bad. today it is that 37%. that is a huge drop. and those numbers should have stayed about the same. we were just talking about where that water content is right now. to lose that much is unprecedented. in fact, if you look at the sensors across the sierra, the ones that have red circles on them, those are the locations in the area that just set the record for the fastest loss of water content since we've been keeping records, for the first three weeks in april. there is a lot that goes into this, but the number one culprit behind this is how warm we were for the month of april. these are the temperatures for the month, all the deep shades edow at least 4 degrees above average. i will be back with the rest of the forecast coming up in a few minutes. >>> for continuin

darren, we've got mr. peckg by to give us the complete forecast. >>> you were willing in all the viewers at home. you also need high clouds for that. if we were getting high clouds over the bay area dodd that tells us we've got that weak storm sitting off the coast. and clouds are going to be the main thing that we notice. not necessarily the high clouds giving us the beautiful halos. but the marine layer. it's been with us the last two mornings and we started out the day very gray. just the high clouds and tomorrow all the low grade clouds are coming back again. it's that time of year, and it's going to be a familiar pattern for us. daytime highs today? this is what we're going to do for the next few days. we're going to keep the daytime highs mid- to upper 60s. and if you watch the next 24 hours, here comes the marine layer again. for tomorrow morning. that gets us ahead into like 6:00 a.m. little before sunrise. and it's grayed out for everybody. but in addition to the morning clouds, which will burn back by
