we will bring in darren peck to explain this. it's june.e we talking about. >> a thunderstorm off the coast of marin that developed in the last 20 minutes. we are watching first alert doppler all morning. it has been impressive in the central valley weird enough on its own. look at that last strike there. good example how the day goes and this is a difficult forecast when a thunderstorm may develop and what part of the bay. this is why we broad brush it. 20% chance, particularly from the late morning to the afternoon. that last cell is so localized, something on that scale, even the highest resolution forecast models can't resolve that out several miles. but the ingredients are here for isolated thunderstorms. that is an isolated thunderstorm. now, that is happening over the water. but it could just as easily happened down 101 over marin. that is a near miss then a different morning commute. at this point we are clear over the majority of the bay. we will watch for showers like that. if we go to the big picture, a bigger complex down here.
