i want to get now to former nypd lieutenant darren porcher. this is stretching on -- i know we've seen other searches that have taken a lot longer. it is not incredibly unusual for there to be an occasion where an inestimate is evading capture, but what about what you heard today is standing out to you? >> well, good afternoon, briana. good afternoon to your listeners. this is an interesting narrative. one of the things we want to folks on when we're looking for an escaped inmate is who actually visited that inmate. we're going to look at the logs and speak to the people who visited that inmate. in addition to that we're going to look that who that person called when they were initially arrested. those are people that would have a better understanding of mr. cavalcante in this particular situation. then when we look at the search or what the grid pattern search would be we're going to take into consideration, hey, look, this is person very desperate. we've heard a lot of allegations as it relates to him breaking into peoples homes. but in the

now with me now, former and ypg lieutenant and criminal justice expert darren porcher. thank you for being here. look we have this map here showing all the key moments in this search so far. he stole a van, the van was then later found, than he was now armed. where do you think the search is taking law enforcement right now in terms of their tactics, and strategy? >> what was interesting about this is, he is now gone from where the chester county prison, is 20 miles away, so one of the key components, is he was able to acquire a vehicle which has taken into a particular distance, however that vehicle ran out of gas. now he is on the land. the concerning piece is, he was at one point a farmhand, so he genuinely understands the terrain of what we see on navigate through this as a result of the local police, would be the best asset to guide the search. we have the state police at the forefront of the investigation however the local police would have a better understanding as of how he's going to navigate through this. bear in mind, he is in possession of a rifle. this is a
