darryl, you live close by and you heard the explosion?bout 10:15pm and got into my flat. i heard an explosion so intense it shook me to my core. noise, experience and sensation i have felt before. i work for a radio station in manchester and my journalistic instinct kicked in and i made my way to. a couple of hundred yards away from my flat, the manchester arena approach was filled with people. a lot of them looking unsure as to what was going on. then an element of panic and chaos set in. this was on the victoria station side because there are several exits? yes, the side closest to the train station. i managed to speak to a man who was willing to talk to me on the record. the first words out of his mouth was suicide bomber. my heart sank at that point. then it was trying to piece together and make sense of it. people were uncertain and it was pure chaos. it was a difficult time and there was an incredible amount of community spirit and incredible acts of bravery from the emergency services. we talk about that thing a lot in these circum
