i made a lot of mistakes but i was at the wait list at yale and dartmouth so i went to trinity collegein some hot the last minute somebody said joining guided studies like an honors humanities course i thought of going to poly side. and be working for the mayor and this program was magical. we studied all of the class of books and got the education i was longing for in those three semesters we read the iliad and the odyssey and the tragedies and so much great stuff but it was a real grounding in western thought that i was not even aware or looking for but in retrospect was obvious that was the right choice and when i was at yale i was wanted to be at yale and now i'm at yale but i never had another humanities course ever the equal to trinity. yale had moved on the political correctness authority taken over so is about post- structuralism and i never really got into that at all. but in the atmosphere and in the drinking water so to speak such a take a course on the great books and meaning was passÉ. they had moved on that life is meaningless so we will make the best of it by joking. i d
