daryl parks, appreciate your time tonight. let's turn to eugene robinson. eugene, does this feel the anger in any way? what do you make of it? >> i think it does change the case. i think the important part is that the lead investigator did not find george zimmerman's account of events kredsable. the sequence of events that rerelates that trayvon martin started the fight. he was bashing his head and he was in danger, those -- that account comes into question including who started the fight, who approached whom. how did the encounter begin. obviously, some of that stuff, the lead investigator didn't buy. >> many on the right wing have almost gone so far to come to the aid of zimmerman saying the facts are on his side. now that this comes out, aren't they now in a position of asking us to believe people who were not there instead of believing the lead investigator who thought that manslaughter charges should have been filed? >> that's absolutely right. what are the facts? the facts are an unarmed 17-year-old young man was walking home from a convenient store.

daryl park, before we go, i want to ask you when you hear all of this talk about the pavement and how the zimmerman family accounts all require -- they require, they demand that the pavement of that walkway be under george zimmerman's head, that is a mandatory element of their story in order to have the kind of head injury that gave george zimmerman the feeling that his life was at risk, a head injury for which as far as we can tell there is absolutely no evidence on the police video at the police station, does it sound to you like since the zimmerman family hired a lawyer for george, the evidence, the story that is coming from them is much more elaborate, much more containing much more helpful detail to the theory of the case presented by george zimmerman, all of which, by the way, if true would have been helpful to present in that very first public statement that george zimmerman's father made. >> well, it's rather clear that this particular family as time has gone gotten far more sophisticated in the story they're trying to present. there are many problems, though. the story they'r

daryl parks, i wonder as you listen to this new eyewitness's account of what happened, of what this person saw, what's your reaction? does it answer any questions for you, raise any new questions for you? >> it answers a lot of questions for me, anderson. it's very clear that this particular witness saw what happened, and in the early part of his statement, he clearly indicated that the person he saw on top was the gentleman who did the shooting. so it's rather clear that mr. zimmerman was the shooter. he saw him, although he has some parts he doesn't recall quite as well, the first part of his statement that i see is that he saw trayvon shot on this very unfortunate night. the other part that really strikes out to me is he seems to not see any apparent injuries from this particular altercation that mr. zimmerman claims that he suffered. but thirdly, although this is my first time hearing this statement, it seems very clear that zimmerman's statement about trayvon following him back to the truck is totally untrue, because from this witness' statement, all of the interaction happened in one
