i am dave clark. let's talk about weather and traffic. steve has your forecast. >> thank you, dave. things going on here. some higher clouds to the south. again santa cruz mountains, peninsula, south bay, a few will drift over the north bay. fog is on the increase. it's shallow but this system up here is beginning to push it in. it doesn't really show it there, but it is. it's on its way. we are okay here. mostly sunny at game time. late in the game a westerly breeze and maybe some of that fog will be on the increase. take a jacket just so you know. good thing the game is not tomorrow. today starting off all right. some of that low cloud deck coming. 50s on the temps here. they are starting to bounce off those lows. there is a pretty good little system here giving rain to the pacific northwest. the tail end will give us clouds and drizzle. a lot of this is going to fall apart by the time it reaches us. it will give us a cooler pattern on friday. i'll talk about that in ten minutes. mostly sunny. fog increasing a lot of upper 70s inland. 60s closer to the coast and bay. here's sal. >

. >> reporter: good morning, dave, well firefighters are wrapping things up right now and you can see there is still one engine left at the house. they werable to knock down the fire pretty quickly and in fact the homeowners were not even home when it happened. they got a call when they noticed smoke coming from the home on 8th and empire. firefighters arrived and determined the fire was burning from the basement. they were able to extinguish it and nobody was hurt including the people living in the house because they had just left to go to the hospital a couple of hours earlier. >> they were there around 12:30 and they went to the emergency room then because one of them was ill. >> so while they were at the emergency room one neighbor who had their number called him and told him a fire was at his house. >> reporter: at this point they believe there was nothing suspicious about the fire they believe it was accidental and the people who live there are back home from the hospital and now they are he just trying to deal with the cleanup, ktvu channel 2 morning news. >>> san jose police a
