i'm dave clark thursday morning. march 30th. we're going right to south, casting native. some problems on our roads this morning. what's the lady dave and pam? we have a closure of a freeway eastbound 5 80 coming up just before park. they're taking everyone off the freeway. this is because of police activity in that area. it turns out this was a shooting and it happened last night. so this has been closed now for a while. it happened in a you know overnight, so there's not a lot of traffic heading out toward hayward and westbound 5 80 is getting through. if you have to get through. you should use 8 80 instead. or use highway 13 all the way out to 13 and east oakland. they're 13 and 5 80 interchanges. what i meant to say, but again, eastbound 5 80 is closed elsewhere. the rest of the commute is off to a good start. we don't have a lot going on. i do want to mention that eastbound four. we do have a crash at somerville road. watch for some slow traffic. therefore 30. let's get back to the weather. now let's bring steve back in. all right, sam. thank you, sir. we're almost do

i'm dave clark. good morning. i'm pam cook thursday morning. march 9th. we heard that one guy say it, steve. it's two words we hadn't heard. you know a couple of years ago. now atmospheric river. well it seems to be used too much. not every time it rains. it's an atmospheric river. sometimes it's a cold front. but this is a lot of deep moisture coming in. if you want to use the pineapple connection if you are here back in the eighties, or maybe nineties that that's certainly applies. our system is racing across the low up top off pacific northwest is like scooping up this moisture, so it's on its way. the leading edge of this is already approaching the santa cruz mountains and other areas. this is the warm front sector, so this will be light what we call the overrunning, but the main forces i mean rain coming in will be later this afternoon tonight, early tomorrow morning, so here comes the rain again. turning cloudy wind picks up rain develops it will be warmer, cold pattern is now in the rear view
