i got off the phone with dave cortese and he's conceded the race. he tells me he has not been able to make up the 1% difference that separated him from getting a majority of the votes and after watching the mail-in ballots being counted and seeing he was not going to make up that difference he decided to concede the mayoral race, even though there are provisionary ball loots and other ballots still being counted that would make up the difference. he doesn't believe that he can do that so he is decided to make that conciliation. he said he needed to do that for his supporters who have been waiting all this time to make sure that their votes were counted and that he made his best effort to complete the race. he feels like he's done that now. dave cortese told me he got off the phone with sam liccardo who congratulated him on running a terrific race, and he says that they exchanged pleasantries. but he said that he did officially congratulate sam on his victory. again, just a few minutes ago, i got off the phone with dave cortese who says he has offici
