kcrg-tv9's dave franzman has been at jefferson for the past couple of hours and joins us now. dave, what have you been able to find out? chris, that pretty much sums up the basics. we talked to a couple of students who say they were entereing the building. what we've learned from both pd and school administrators is the shooting appeared to tak epalce outside the fine artsm building on the jeff campus. students who left said there was some initial confusion inside. eventually, most learned it was a suicide attempt outside the school. one student told us she was off campus when it happened. and when she cam lockdown in effect. " i was in shock. nothing like this has happened since i've been here..... shooting something.
