dave harvey, bbc news. the first time in 15 months. before the pandemic hit, phuket was the second biggest tourist destination in the country, generating over $14 billion in revenue in 2019. now the thai government hopes to see the economy in the region pick up again, as it allows fully vaccinated international tourists from low risk countries to travel to the island without the need for a quarantine. anthony lark is the president of the phuket hotels association. he told me how the system is going to work. the system is quite simple. if people who have been vaccinated from those countries that are low—risk or medium—risk are interested to come to phuket for a holiday and not quarantine, they apply to the thai embassy of the country of their residency and they get issued certain documents, and they need to obviously be vaccinated. it's actually more simple than it may seem. it's a very careful and strategic system that really is in place to help protect not only the locals of phuket but also other traveller

dave harvey, bbc news.hands, between online lessons. one of those was 14—year—old makenzy beard from swansea, who decided to take up painting in her garden shed. now 18 months on, her work is set to go on display at a prestigious art gallery in london. ben price went to meet her. when schools closed in march 2020, makenzy decided to find a new hobby to occupy her time. over the past year, she has produced more than a dozen portraits. we had paints and canvases and brushes in the shed, and i thought, why not give it a try? and itjust escalated from there, really. one of her favourite subjects to paint is her neighbour, john tucker, a farmer on the gower peninsula. having photographed him at work, makenzy spent three weeks carefully crafting his image. i was standing in the yard, ijust brought some hay nets down, and she just stopped me and asked me if she could take a photograph. i didn't expect what i did see at the end. it was absolutely brilliant. she's a very talented young lady, really. he's just got a

dave harvey, bbc news.ese drivers i the crucial role that these drivers deliver in our country and even more so with the amount of investment that has gone into logistics across the uk as we bought more things from home over the last year and the pandemic. there are really two things that we need to do to get this right. the first is, as we were just hearing from your report, we have got to get the training right, as well as use —— losing some eu drivers and the tests, we also have quite an ageing workforce in the driving sector, so encouraging more people to think about coming in to skills pathways, acknowledging apprenticeships absolutely matter and governments are rightly focused on them, but there are other forms of training that you can do. after all, an apprenticeship is one day a week in college and learning on the job the rest of the time what you can do four days behind the wheel of a truck in your first few months with a haulage company. working with government to get more people to consider drivi
