. >> let's turn to dave murphy. a lost precipitation right now but are we picking things up later? >> precipitation kind of wrapping up over the next couple hours matt but we're looking at a fresh coating of sleet across much of the region from precipitation that was farther north. double scan tracking a couple additional freezing rain showers and there could be a little additional sleet mixed in here, too as we have seen some of that overnight as well. i'll go in a little bit tighter and we'll start this in motion and it does look like this is basically heading toward the east. wilmington right on the cusp of this but looks like you might just dodge this latest bullet. down in cape may county we have changed over to some sleet so i would be careful of icy sidewalks or road conditions down there and the same thing goes for really the entire state of delaware just below wilmington. above where this active precipitation is falling we did have earlier precip and up through most of our northern and western suburbs there

. >> but first up let's talk about this bitter cold and go on over to dave murphy and karen rogers isg those roads. good morning. >> well, we are off to a very, very chilly start. we don't have a lot of cloud cover out there. little cloud cover trying to work its way up the i-95 corridor past washington and baltimore but generally speaking we're looking at a pretty bright one. unfortunately it's also pretty uncomfortable. 20 degrees in philadelphia, 20 wilmington, 15 in reading, 14 allentown and 16 trenton 18 at the airport in ac. low 20's in much of delaware and south jersey. and we do have a wind coming down out of the northwest. not that it's all that strong but when you start out with temperatures around 20 it's pretty see easy to get wind chills in the single digits. that's what we have got. feels like six in philadelphia, four inly a town, three trees in reading and zero in lancaster. down the shore anywhere from five to nine depending on where you are. and hazard for the commute too as we have the potential for some black ice until about 9 o'clock this morning. after that the s

dave murphy and karen rogers is watching the traffic. good morning. >> off to a very chilly start.so for a second straight morning have a wind chill advisory up in the poconos up until 10 o'clock and between now and then we are going to be looking at wind chills that could go as low as 15 to 20 degrees below zero. for the second straight morning i'm going to warn you for some patchy ice both on i'd streets and sidewalks. probably not as widespread as yesterday but despite the fact that we were below freezing yesterday we did still get the sun out for several hours in the afternoon and that did cause some monday afternoon melting and we have seen a refreeze of anything that didn't dry awesome sunshine is on the way. as you can see a lack of any real significant cloud cover although clouds will filter in a bit and during the afternoon we'll probably change over to partly sunny skies. here are the numbers. 10 degrees right now in philadelphia. two below zero in allentown. that's a new record. zero in reading. that's also a new record. close to records in wilmington and dover as well.

. >> let's turn to dave murphy for more on the snow. >> storm tracker 6 shows it's not a lot but they'reittle bit of a snow shower that has popped up. i'll go in tight in the one that's pushing into western chester county and areas including wilmington. looks like wilmington might be starting to see the first snowflakes. this is fairly light but probably steady enough to put down a quick coating on some road surfaces so be careful. if we go out wider real quick there's also another batch up to the north. this one looks like it may be falling apart a little bit more but a little light flurry or light snow showers in reading. again not all of you are going to see this this morning as it moves in from the west but if you do slow it down just in case it puts down that coating and makes things slippery in a hurry. there you see the movement. this is pushing in from the west. dover getting a little and parts of south jersey around salem county and cumberland county picking up a bit now too. as we look outside we have a lot of clouds around where snow showers are popping through. elsewhere it's

david murphy dave has more on the cold.gers has traffic. >> reporter: as we take a look a windchill advisory is in effect until 11:00 a.m. in the counties highlighted south of the poconos and east of lancaster. we have windchills making it feel like 15 and 20 degrees below zero. 3 in philadelphia. new record lows already hitting in reading and atlantic city. wilmington has tied a new record low. when you add the wind out of the northwest in the teens it's giving you windchills making it feel like 16 below in philadelphia. 19 below in wilmington and 10 below in wildwood, right now. all these numbers very significant, and and frostbite is definitely a possibility. it can happen very quick i will. in the delaware and lehigh valleys. anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes is fast enough to get frostbite on exposed skin this morning. in time poconos it could be as little as 15 minutes. bundle up and cover up today. thanks are mr. president, we have a lot of schools off thanks to president's day. of course we have extra cancellations bec
