that will not be the case today says dave murphy. >> it's weird.you step outside right now it's still a little on the mild side. temperatures are dropping in a hurry this morning, though. you see clouds down to the south. there are showers. those are clearing cape may county and southern delaware pretty quickly. out to the west the additional clouds you see will probably largely fall apart. still sitting at 48 degrees in philadelphia but notice that wind out of the northwest knocking down those temperatures in the northern and western suburbs. and this number is not indicative of today at all as we are going to be down close to the freezing mark over the next couple hours and then only bouncing back into the upper 30's. the winds picking up a little bit now in allentown, reading and lancaster. again those winds are going to start to build and along with temperatures. here's where the numbers are going to go. by 7 o'clock most of the models are indicating that believe it or not we could be down as low as 34 degrees by 7 o'clock. by noon still 36 so

dave murphy and karen rogers have updates from accuweather. matt pelman is watching the roads. let's start with david. >> okay, well, let's start with warnings and watches that we have across the region. it's still a blizzard warning in the northern suburbs and this is going to be the biggest impact area for this storm where you're going to have heavy bands of snow especially between now and 11 o'clock to noon then things should begin to lighten up a little bit and you won't have as much accumulation but between now and midday that's a real problem. the i-95 corridor is also in a winter storm warning all of this going until about 6 o'clock tonight but things are improving a little bit here in the i-95 corridor and that rain is really pushing up close to us, sleet mixing in and it may wind up that we get less snow in there than anticipated. farther south it's an advisory. there's so much rain down there that most of what has already fallen has been washed away and may not be coming back. right now we do see that sleet line right through the i-95 corridor. a lot of rain down sout

first up let's find out if we finally get some sunshine, dave murphy and karen has your commute. good morning. >> well, let's take a look at satellite. we have what looks like a lot of clouds around. they're mostly low lying clouds but they are sort of breaking up a little bit over philadelphia and we actually do expect dry air to march in and we should wind up with mostly sunny skies through much of the day. we've slipped to 49 degrees in philadelphia, so cool enough for a jacket this morning. 50 degrees in wilmington, 46-degree readings in trenton allentown reading and 47 cape may. so far so good on the wind well it's actually started to pick up from the north and west. this is a new number just in. you can see we're still in the single digits in south jersey and up toward trenton but we're starting to build those winds a little bit out of the northwest. i was about to tell you that once the sun came up we were expecting the winds to build and it is going to be a rather breezy day today with a 10 to 20 miles per hour wind not exactly enough to knock you off the sidewalk or to p

dave murphy and karen rogers have updates from accuweather and matt pelman is watching the roads much let's start with david. >> we'll start with a series of warnings we have. it's a blizzard warning in the northern suburbs highlighted in orange. that means visibilities could be very poor and you'll have heavy driving snow. this is definitely an area to stay indoors especially during the morning when the worst of the heavy snow bands are coming through and it's no party in the i-95 corridor, either where you have a winter storm and the potential for heavy snow here as well. we're already seeing some snow on the ground. some of the recent reports in philadelphia between two and 3-inches, that's coming in from a couple of our fire stations in the city and i appreciate those reports. we're up to 4-inches in some areas already like out in reading and those reports are about an hour old so there's certainly more up there. farther south you go it's less snow, maybe a little bit of difficulty getting around but you're getting a lot of rain mixing in in these areas and the impact will be over
