dave owens is here to talk about the allure of the ravens bandwagon. you sure we're not traitors if we get on that bandwagon? >> let's start with some perspective. the ravens haven't been in existence that long, just since '96. the redskins have been around since 1932. so the burgundy and gold fan base runs deep. we know it's well entrenched, but here's the thing. in the last decade the ravens have far exceeded the redskins in terms of success and they're one game away from the super bowl and they've also had eight playoff appearances as well versus just two for the redskins. the cities are relatively close about, 45 minutes apart. this week the purple and black celebrating 12 wins, division championship. i'd say redskins fans would certainly like that, but back to the original question, are some redskins fans jumping ship to another bandwagon? we asked that question on facebook and here's what we got. check this out. tiffany, very blunt, she said nope, got to stick with my redskins. now john on the other hand, he took it a step further. i like to watc

dave owens is here to begin our coverage. >> we've seen a lot of twists and turns in this story. at 9:00, reports began spreading that the former penn state coach was dead. then a family spokesperson as well as paterno's son responded saying that was false. scott paterno tweeted that his father was alive but in serious, serious and grave condition. paterno has been battling lung cancer. the diagnosis revealed just nine days after he was fired by penn state in the wake of a sexual abuse scandal involving jerry sandusky. paterno has been in and out of the hospital but recently returned after complications arose from chemotherapy treatments. earlier today family, close friends and former staff members were summonsed to the medical center where paterno is undergoing treatment. of course, the scandal has been the story the last few months. let's not forget how large a figure joe paterno is when it comes to football. he became the head coach in 1966. he had been an assistant from 1950 through 1965. he's the only division one coach to win 51 victories. he was fired amid the sexual abuse
