our friend dave price from our station here in new york is in. it's a cold one. >> it is. i saw kristen outside lighting a bonfire before the show began. that's how chilly it is. take a look it's really the eastern third of the country locked in this cold, cold weather. high pressure sitting over the great lakes right now. and the good news is high pressure makes air sink and creates calmer conditions. but where we have wind chills it is significant. 10 to 15 degrees what it reads on the thermometer. and 12 degrees in boston, 32 below in pres aisle and not much of a wind chill right now but you don't need it. that's what we're dealing with this morning. into the afternoon temps moderate just a little bit but not a ton. only 27 in boston, 34 in philadelphia. keep in mind anyone at or close to the freezing mark a little bit warmer than that as we head back to the west. but as we roll into the week a nice rebound and close to 60 degrees by tuesday in baltimore and as we head into raleigh you're approaching 70 degrees but we have to get through the next 12 to 18 hours. bundle
