dave: your time is 8:03. jury selections set to begin later this week in the domestic violence trial of ross mirkarimi. e. ali rasmus is in san francisco now giving us reaction to the judge's decision. ali? >> reporter: well dave, that court battle was over a 55- second video of sheriff ross mirkarimi's wife alan a lopez and the question was whether that could be used as evidence. a judge yesterday ruled that it can be used as evidence and now it will very likely be that that video will be seen by a jury that in case. now these are some still pictures of that video. in it you can see lopez crying, she is showing off a bruise that she allegedly received at the hands of meek reamy on december 31st. they argued that the statements she makes in the video are hearsay and they recorded the day after the alleged abuse took place. he says lopez looked sincerely disastronaut in that video and thoughting about it appeared to be staged. the ruling is seen as a victory for prosecutors because, without this video, most analysts say it would have been very difficult for the prosecution's case to continue. some san fr
