(darya) breaking news from overnight. firefighters put out a christmas even fire in san francisco's bernal heights neighborhood. a home caught fire around 1 am on prospect avenue. they put it out within an hour but the homes on either side of the home were also affected. four people were displaced but nobody was hurt. (darya) a squirrel was the grinch that almost stole christmas from a menlo park family. the squirrel chewed through some wires and almost burned down their home. the incident happened around six am christmas eve at a house on san mateo drive. firefighters found a fire burning around the door casing of the front door. crews quickly put out the flames. p-g-and-e officials were also called to the scene... where they discovered that a squirrel... had chewed through a wire at a nearby power pole. the chewed
