some parts of the bay area are still under a red-flag warning kron 4 meteorologist dave spahr joins us now with more on that. dave, not i guess the red flag warning was lifted in some areas that right. yeah. was just posted about i think was an hour and a half ago or so. so that's good. but we are still banking off a little bit of a dry atmosphere. and as i'll be showing you. >> those pockets in the east bay. they were dry last couple days are going to still be dry into tomorrow, too, although not as warm slightly tomorrow. it really starts changing later in the week. the scenes are beautiful, though seen, as you point out, that's going to be the case throughout this week and weekend, little bit of haze off towards the distance. but you have a cold bay. basically it's also working at that, too. so to get to first things first. done expired. it's been canceled, although we didn't reach 5 they've pulled national weather service tracking the winds. we can see now a little bit of favoring of the onshore winds not just around the bay but inland, too, and getting into solano county. that's g

so let's turn things over to meteorologist ford's meteorologist dave spahr for a look at the latest drought conditions here in the bay area. days. well, soon as we use the look on thursday for the updated map coming out on this. this is the latest we have. and you can see a little sliver. he will have more slippery. you can see a little slice here chunk. that's exceptional out everybody else in the bays in the extreme category. we're now entering the dry season here. so any rain we do get should chip away at this a little bit coverage area. it looks like we're a little reminiscent of california to 2014 except the central valley. it hasn't quite ventured up to fresno yet this in the southern edge of that. we don't see as much in southern california's 2014, but the season is somewhat young, the west. as you can see is sharing in our misery with this in terms of being exceptional. the monsoon coming up now potentially could chip away at this. but if we have a bus, this could get worse and also with the monsoon. you can get those dry thunderstorms, not looking good on that front. here's how it

bay bridge toll plaza it's a clear sky and also clear on the roads that come from meteorologist dave spahr. he is in the weather center. dave red flag warning has expired or going to be seeing some temperatures cooling off. >> we are actually now we have another day probably of this a business here before you'll start to really feel change across the wider bay. we felt some of that already today in around the perimeter of the bay. you're talking clear skies at the coast. look at this overcast fog as we saw around the golden gate bridge all day today and around the perimeter of the bay can see the fog hiding out. so the marine layer starting to win over that battles could take a while to get those inland areas. however, we're looking at at this hour. lower 90's in the far east bay east bay shore lines in between 68 for oakland,i87 fremont to the south, up to the north bay. we're seeing some improvement as well. 77 going on for napa. the also showing a change and 80 coming in for santa rosa. the winds are still continuing with kind of offshore direction off in the far east bay. but the flow

kron 4 meteorologist dave spahr joins us in the weather center with some wild wind speeds tonight, dave, how fast are we talking. >> well, the winds will and some of those in locations looking into the 20's and even 30's that the thing is they've been a little on shore. over a good chunk of real estate, which is good news. however, we don't want winds perry and we're not getting any rain. as you mentioned today has been very dry and very hot. i mean, we've got a little flavor of some are going on today. now it looks like a nice picture imagery we have. here is the east bay shoreline here. a little bit of haze off to the distance there around the bay. the cold waters and this really tells the tale. when you see the winds here, you see them a little bit on shore right at the east bay shoreline. but inland boom there straight from the north. so it's spilling in from the sacramento valley. and that's why solano county is the only one they put in a red flag warning zone. it wasn't fire weather watch earlier from this weekend. and that's why they're not including the other areas. however, as
