dave spahr is here tracking that. air quality conditions heyday it most of the bay area's in the moderate category. it looks for now. this wasn't the case yesterday and just about everybody is in that as you will notice here. >> all the way down the except san francisco itself. but everybody else is you can see is into that yellow category. once we get maybe more of an onshore flow as we get into the evening hours that made help clean out the air a little bit already up to 92 antioch, 88 for concord n livermore up to the north bay. noticeably cooler in the 70's with 81 for santa rosa at this hour. and at this hour, little flare up happening up there in the mountains with some of that monsoon. as we look to the week ahead, however, will continue to see in the 4 corner states. the flareup were being insulated, however, from this traffic coming in from the pacific. a check of your monday numbers for today expected high 68 for san francisco will do the lower 60's hovering along the coast. there. meanwhile, on the bay side

we've got dave spahr is standing by with a look at the details.s not what the whole thing area looks like right and that's always a very hard area to clear so that's local an and you can see even at this hour, it's still you can see some blue off towards the distance. that's up. are in already clearing out. >> from space, you would get this impression at all. as noel was talking about most the bays, in fact, clearing out lots of sunshine at work here. and there's the marine layer out to sea when to do its magic for tonight. let's go to future cast for obviously we're clear we don't see a lot of thunder shower action up north as much today as we will tomorrow. so let's get to tonight because that's where things get interesting. >> here comes that leftover moisture, the exhaust from the monsoon across parts of our area now because we do have a relatively stable ground. it's overnight. the the atmosphere tends to have the least amount of energy in an overnight. we don't have the sun heating up the ground so you don't get as much the way the dynamics.

dave spahr is here with a look at the forecast.it's the last week of july day. >> yeah, well, and now there's of the current numbers for us. and for that time of year, not too bad. only in the 80's in the far east noticeably colder, which we expect along the east bay shoreline already being treated to some bay fog. moving on in 75 santa rosa got 70's down to the south bay, 60 for half moon bay. 61 for san francisco. good clip of those winds which are typical this evening. our we've got in the inland warming and that's driving on shore when the direction of the arrows will remain in this direction over the next several days. and that's the good as we continue to bring in that marine layer, particularly in the late afternoon and the evening hours really helps out. so again, this bay fog coming on in for tonight. then late overnight. look at this coming in from the east here. the middle layers of the atmosphere from showers work occurring today in the mountains that leftover exhaust clouds coming across the central valley into our gen

meteorologist dave spahr is with us now. dave, how's the day going to shape up?good morning. good morning, everybody. and we'll be dealing with a lot of cloud be dealing with a lot of cloud cover. little help suppress starting things off its covering up the golden gate, not unusual, but also the cloud cover. you'll notice in the south bay as well. and we'll see that cloud cover linger. even in those inland locations into the afternoon. but everything works in tandem to keep those temperatures down with gets more interesting is we may start to cook up some monsoon isolated showers or right now a little bit as appearing up on radar here. this is all aloft and it's going through relatively dry air. and i say that because when you go up in the atmosphere, the dew points are not really dropping so much. but the temperature rises big-time. that's also said it with our typical inversion. think. but what it means is some of this rain is going to relatively dry air. so that's why we don't always get it at the surface. still, though, we've reported a little in the way of s

there probably are all just dave spahr here. dave, are we potentially going to see a little moisture coming from. >> all is quiet in those higher elevations a bit in particularly at night and in the very early morning hours can see some of that as well to be crossing bridges, too. this is a half moon bay. we see some surface fog that's that were crowned fog, coupled with the cloud cover. this doesn't want to lift 73 at this hour, santa rosa, but already popping to about 80 antioch. lots of 70's in the east bay's you will see 78. meanwhile for san jose quick tahoe forecast numbers getting up to about 78 come friday. right now, though, they're dealing with some winds, though. but a nice warm-up is expected for the weekend out there. so as we get into the afternoon, humidity levels drop off to the east bay overnight. this the flood basically of all this moisture going on flood with basically with almost without any rain going on, except some of that drizzle. let's check out your 4 zone forecast for today. 70 san francisco will keep

and joining us now is our meteorologist dave spahr with a look at it. windy it is out there today. yeah. quite toasty out there trusted elsewhere around the bay. just as you know, paula definitely to the 80's here, pushing in and the 90's. >> this is what the winds look like for right now. they are on shore for a good chunk of the bay. then they get kind of mixed up a little bit as they go over the east bay hills, get channeled in different directions. but there are a quick pretty good clip. peers you can see well in the business. the teens, in fact around. 26 san francisco. we have been little warming that's driving all of this for right now. now we also seeing those showers and thunder showers up in the mountains. that's a given we've been seeing that pretty much the the last of least almost week here going on. some of this is in the western edge of the some mid-level moisture is getting heat up and you can see it starts to get some yellow and even some reds popping up in there. and always the concern is even what lightning with the rain. it could hit

taking a look at the weather conditions out doors with dave spahr. good morning, dave.everybody. starting to see a sun peer out a little bit around the bay. as you can see, some of the shots that we have. meanwhile, the golden gate bridge is the fog trap. but you will notice much better view east bay shoreline with blue skies at work here. the east bay shoreline is now in clear view, which is that thin layer fog yet to mix out. now, this fog, by the way, will come back again for tomorrow. although improvement temperature wise is expected to general, you know, trend of onshore as expected. you can see it spilling into some of the valleys inland, even up to the north bay, a little as well. temperature check for you. 73 antioch, 60's cover the inland part of the east bay, although the east bay shoreline hayward at 60 upper 50's at work here. 65 meanwhile for san jose. now those numbers are going to pop again into the lower to middle to upper 90's, depending on your location here in central valley will be baking all this weekend. we're seeing some minor relief chipping away

kron 4 meteorologist dave spahr is joining us now with a look at our forecast tracking those fires in the east bay. >> well, we're seeing our traditional onshore winds in place as the inland areas pick with temperature these are the typical onshore westerly direction. we like that. that kind of helps out a little bit with all the effort. 91 are ready for any act. looking at some 80's going on to the far east bay 60's line at the east bay shoreline, but still kind of a mix up here in the north bay with 60's and 70's 73. meanwhile, 4 san jose still some expect the excessive heat to be had in the central valley. you'll notice there is an excessive heat warning. that's until 10 this evening. i suspect there won't be another one for tomorrow for them because of the change that's coming our way. that's towards the latter portion of the week. ahead, let's hand over to storm tracker 4. there you see the flare up already of those showers and thunder showers up to tahoe in points to the south there. that's up sloping or radical left-wing. the big kind of by about term for you. meanwhile, here's

kron 4 meteorologist dave spahr standing by. etails on what the weather is looking like tonight. hey, dave. well, i know. well, it looks like also the golden gate bridge. we're seeing quite a bit of blue skies to were worried, however, about this fog sneak in on in. it's really a spoiler sometimes, although sometimes it can be. >> quite a thrill to to sometimes see the the fog light up a little bit with the firework action. so let's get to the winds now. we have them kind of picking up a little bit in the afternoon. somewhat typical, though, the directions, a little differenth there out of the northwest a bit here and somewhat variable. but there into the teens. now they do encourage a little bit of that fog and marine layer coming in for tonight. speaking of which the fog cast tells us, we've got the fog at the coast. pretty much socked in by 8 o'clock tonight. already starting to cover portions of the east bay shoreline. going to be dicey in around the immediate bay when you're talking 8 to 9 o'clock, however, inland looks like

. >> time now to get a check on your forecast that dave spahr here standing by looking at our air quality due to the smoke from the oak fire. dave. yeah, didn't know well today, everybody a little bit of an improvement you'll see. you may recall yesterday this was all dark and so forth. now in the moderate category where the fires are going on, there was some reported rain in and around this area probably more yesterday than we're probably more today that we're going to see tomorrow and fortune from the forecast models. but this is not a good rain because it comes with that risk of lightning with that, too. so it be better off that the really have any of this going on. meanwhile, getting back home, not bad at all. most locations in the green, as you can see now, little bit in the moderate category around berkeley. but again, the bay area's looking pretty good. you might still have some leftover hazy sunshine. this is what it looks like. some leftover little fog clouds kind of mixing out very quickly. now, given way to blue skies temperature, check for you. 80 going on for antioch inland.
