david bruno. the doj, as anita was pointing out, they said initially that the police opened the door, that paul pelosi did not open the door, but the san francisco d.a. said that paul pelosi opened the door. in fact, he opened it with his left hand and walks back away from police next to david depape, the alleged attacker. if that's the case, why would the doj say that? if the video shows something different? >> great point, and i guess that's another reason why we should take a step back and wait until the evidence comes out. depape was in court one month ago. his lawyers tried to get the attempted murder count dismissed, and at that time the body cam was in fact played in the courtroom. as reported, essentially depape was to the right side of pelosi, and pelosi grabbed a hammer and then depape got it away from him and struck him in the head, in front of the police officers. pelosi goes down, and he was in a pool of blood unconscious, and the officers tackled. that's what's coming out of the hearing, and that's what i expect to see. i'm not sure who opened the door and whether or not he goes back, bu

i've seene martha and anita mcbride will be here shortly if she's not here already. and david is on the board here over on the right so it's an honor to have all of you here as well as several members of the council on history which we are always grateful to have. this evening it is my honor and privilege tos introduce a terrific friend of mine and friend of the white house historical association who serves as the president and ceo of the lbj foundation in austin texas. he is a presidential historian for abc news and also accomplished author. he's offered five books on the presidency including this book that we are celebrating this evening, jfk and the presidency and i had the privilege of wrecording a podcast this afternoon that will release later i in the month when the bk is officially released. and it's a fascinating conversation g i enjoyed my time with mark and i think you're going to enjoy the time with him here this evening. he's also written through the times, politico, national geographic, daily beast, usa today and most recently the executive producer for the origin

david with blocks blown out. george and barbara at the bottom and here we're going back to what i was referring to when those top five christmases, 1991, anitapoint christmas when they were elected as president and first lady their church and saint martin's in houston, texas and president president elect and mrs. bush with a gift. it was a needlepoint crash. it was a 45 piece nativity. it had the traditional nativity figures, but it also had an armadillo, the bishop spaniel named millie, a black sheep named saintly and a wise man wearing a crown made from the cap of a crown royal bottle. this labor intensive gift with mrs. bush pronounced the most beautiful thing you've ever laid your eyes on. and inspired her 1991 christmas. and she went to the saintly stitchers and some other volunteer and asked if they could have cistmas sort of an honor of this wonderful nativity scene. and there washree see a close up of it in the private residence. her first christmas and the result was absolutely spectacular. it took 18 months or 150000 hours to create. 1370 needlepoint ornaments to cover this noble fir at the base was a needlepoint village. oh, here
