this morning david axelrod was pressed on that point. he said that the vast majority will be able to keep it. ae president said if you have plan, you'll get to keep it. might that not occur? >> what the president has said all along is there will be changes to create a minimum standard of coverage. minimum services every insurance provider has to provide. an individual shopping for insurance, he or she purchasing ist insurancematernity care covered, mental health care is avered, that there is not lifetime limit, that there are out of pocket expenses capped and for a lifetime. it is true there are health plans on the individual market that do not meet those minimum standards and would not qualify for the of federal -- the affordable care act. there are some that could be grandfathered. what is also true, americans who have insurance in the existing individual market will now have numerous options available to them and six out of 10 will pay ins than $100 a month premiums for better insurance. it's not even an apples and apples comparison.

. >> well, again, what we had today, this was bipartisan, something -- david axelrod, who has an institutenext to mine, the institute of policy and the paulson institute, put on jointly. and we had leaders from both sides. we had chris dodd and barney frank, we had judd gregg. we had larry summers and we had ed eddy lozier. i think what worked best was the bipartisan support in congress and the way people work together across the administration, the way democrats and republicans work together, the way george bush's leadership, the outgoing president, the tough decisions he made, barack obama and john mccain did -- you know, were supportive. and so that was the positive things. and the capital market stabilization programs that were put in place worked. they worked very, very well. the bank capital program, which led the logical extension of which was the stress test. so, you had policy continuity across administrations. and the obama administration took the capital market stabilization programs and made them work. now, what hasn't been done -- and today we have financial markets that -- mo
