david campos. former mayor art agnos was floated as a potential in term mayor. so was sheriff mike hennessey. so was the chair of the public utilities commission. current state senator mark lino. current senator leland yee. >> there were reports in the newspaper about various board members being nominated. we were concerned about how the conflict of interest laws would apply to them. very specifically for foreign issues. perhaps there would be six board members who would be not able to bridge as a paid in a successor mayor selection and appointment process. we would lose quorum. we have to contemplate how we would then bring back quorum. i went to bed every night with it on my mind. i woke up with every morning. >> time was running out. there were no more meetings scheduled in november due to the holidays, and the board did not meet again until december 7. san francisco citizens again waited on the mayoral selection. >> we want someone who has the greater good of the people of san francisco in mind, not just business owners. >> i am here today basically to urge

[inaudible] >> about three months ago, i walked through the mission district with jane kim and david campos. this was after that shooting in the mission. we were walking along with officers in the district, just watching the streets, -- walking the streets, talking to merchants. we got an eyeful and an earful of these kids hanging out on the corners with nothing to do. people said the city has come out to come up with better programs to track these youth. they are listening to the people on the streets trying to recruit them. we know that they are interested player from getting in ties into these gangs. we particularly listened to the community response network, the people that are in touch with these gangs. we have a program where they are helping police officers get information on what is going on. they recommended that we create an annual camp, where for free, about 50 kids -- and we may increase down the road -- will get a full camp experience. kids across whole arena of san francisco get these weeks where they go to camp and have a wonderful time. some kids do not get a chance because

david campos wanted to change the law so businesses couldn't take back that money which businesses loudly opposed. he didn't have support from other supervisors so he withdrew the plan. >>> an employee plans to stage a three-day hunger strike. marquez says he was up fairly fired for trying to start a labor union. it will preponderate second hunger strike against the chain in four months. in april about a dozen former employees went on a protest -- went on a strike to protest layoffs. >>> a tackle box of a bay area fisherman was sent back to the a missing man. it wound up after a group of mexican fisherman fished it out of the water. lee's wife described her reaction when she learned about the tackle box. >> i was driving in i just couldn't help it. i just burst into tears thinking that oh my god, you know, it was so important to have something of his. >> lee and six friends wept missing -- went missing after their boat capsized. family members are holding fundraisers to cover the cost of a diving expedition. >>> it could be weeks before we find out what killed a new hampshire girl. virgin

we've been talking to supervisor of david campos of district 9. watch for the next episode when we will be back. i'm robert chief and i'm the park's supervisor in the parks in the sunset district. i've been working here for 3 years. we are 60-70 street below street level. the 64 acre park. the park is divided into 2 sections we are in the stern area. when you get over to pine lake meadow and pine lake, pine lake is considered a natural area. in 1847, the green family came out here, back then this was kind of an empty canyon and sand dun area. they claimed this property. in 1892. george green who's a second generation built the truckdaro club house. there was a hotel then. it was said this was the place to go if you were weary of the dirty city and the police. there were a couple of gun fights the front door has bullet holes. i don't ever repair them. 1931 stig mond bought the property from the green family. she donated it to the city of san francisco and had a specification, i'm giving it to the city that will be used forever for the enjoyment for
