let's get over to dominic chu at hq. >> david, the conversation you, jim cramer, carl and sara were havinge people are trying to find opportunity a lot of analysts who cover these bank stocks are working overtime to figure out, update clients on which ones are still buys and sells. so we'll start with the slate of downgrades over at first republic bank. no surprise there. right. it's become a bigger focus given the bank failures we've seen among the downgrades we're tracking one from raymond james and one from wolfe research. downgrades first republic from a market perform to strong buy, cited a diminished earnings potential given pressure from a shrinking deposit bank wolf research downgrades to pure perform from out perform and cited things with unknowns about how many customers might move their deposits to bigger banks a lot of that uncertainty is playing out. pac west also one of the ones caught up in the sell-off in banks tied to svb, lost three quarters of its value in three days trading volatility and halts this morning worries mounting over how safe or sticky its deposit base is. a

david. >> we have the s&p down about 1.6% let's go over to dom chu and get a bit of a market flash from himyou just pointed out, we are just bouncing off the lows of the session right now. the dow is down 550 points at one point in just the last five minutes, we were down 600 plus points. again, trying to find some kind of stability here. you mentioned the big banks and the financials right now, if you take a look at the overall sector look right now, energy and materials, financials, the three worst-performing sectors out there. a check on some of the banks that have been a big focus for many investors right now first republic is now down another 17% after a big run yesterday on a relief rally. fifth third bancorp, citigroup, jpmorgan chase, bank of america among some of the well-known regional that are all taking larger hits after a bit of a bounceback relief rally yesterday. also checking in on megacap technology, because it's a big part of that story, arguably the most important sector from a market perspective banking issues aside all outperforming. and there is this theme developing t

let's get over to dom chu with a look at key names we're keeping an eye on. >> david, outside of thensely focused on right now, a handful of earnings movers are driving some of the story. let's start with walgreens, the big pharmacy retail, health care retail operator comes out with results. better than expected profits and revenues. you can see there, those shares up about 3.2% and trading right now. that's driving some of that walgreens action. we're also checking out some of the action on the earnings front with pvh, a huge upside mover. you can see up by 20% right now. this is the clothing apparel company that's kind of the parent of big brands like tommy hilfiger and calvin kline. better than expected on profit line and revenue line because of growth in those two. also better than expected revenue guidance is helping to provide pbh a big move to the upside, about 20%. we'll finish with occidental petroleum. maybe not a shot perform buffet, berkshire hathaway very much of the store. buffett adding more shares of occidental petroleum. that now means berkshire owns roughly 23.6% or
