david qu. get insights from our guest today. we have james chuu take a look at the chinese assets, stocks are not doing too bad. it seems a lot of it has been priced in. james: the slowdown in chinese economic momentum has been ongoing the last few months, and there is a certain pessimism in markets right now. that whole reopening trade in the earlier part of the year is starting to wear off nevertheless, if you look under the hood, the earnings in china, there are still pockets of resilience in some parts of the consumer sector and some parts of the technology sector, so there is a glimmer of hope. there are also opportunities amidst this current slowdown. haslinda: but that is just it, right? it is hope. we take a look at stocks under are looking for substantial stimulus that may not come. james: i think so. when you look at the valuations of equities, for example, it is trading at an attractive point. if you look at stimulus, it is on the side of stabilization support. what is key is the property market because i think the property market righ

let's get more details from economist david chu. re thinking it's a surprise in terms of the timing but in terms of policy is he likely to stay the course? david: it is back to about several years ago, people were talking about them being the governor of the pboc. then they stayed there and another surprise came in, that is gongsheng as the secretary of the party and the pboc. and that means i think he will be the governor in the next several months because this needs approval from the congress. rishaad: so what is it -- how do we look at what is happening -- will he be more inclined to do monetary stimulus? what is he likely to be in favor of even these calls for such action has really gone unheard in a meeting away? david: well, we think, you know, if pan it takes though governors position and means continuity of the pboc policy stance and now we do not think the pboc can go aggressively to be. but the pboc needs to give some support to the economy. we still expect a gradual easing stance by the pboc in the foreseeable future. yvon

let's get wall street's biggest calls this morning and for that we go to dominic chu who has a breakdown for us. >> davidhat amazon prime day kind of christmas in july celebration that's going on right now. so amazon shares you can see roughly up a percent or so it's near the highs of the session right now. we're talking maybe a little bit more aside from prime day, the analysts over at wells fargo have added amazon to their signature picks list of top ideas. it's overweight rated $159 price target they think that there's better expectations for amazon web services growth and also a boost from prime day and a favorable valuation from a risk-reward standpoint amazon shares up roughly 1% on that then you have shares of zillow which are higher by just about maybe % at this point right now. now 9% the retail pricing and information platform is getting upgraded to overweight by analysts at piper sandler. the target price also goes up to $62. it was $42 they like amongst other things the trajectory for market share gains and broker ad budgets and better housing macro trends going forward. zillow up 9.5% there
