. >> ktvu has learned. 43 year old joel david was arrested after his home was raided on quiet circle by the fbi and dea on wednesday. a federal grand jury has indicted down on a charge of mailing a letter that threatened to harm an individual identified only as ps and tried to extort money from another person identified as miss dow, and has pleaded not guilty. he is being held without bail pending a detention hearing next week. >> january is national human trafficking prevention month. >> today, an alameda county district attorney, pamela price, hosted a forum. price says her office has a dedicated team focused on preventing human trafficking and awareness. she also announced several cases that recently led to convictions, including one in which a man was sentenced this month to more than 20 years in prison. >> mr. lawrence johnson was sentenced to 24 years in state prison for his role in um, human trafficking of a minor, uh, for behavior, for pimping, of a minor, pandering of a minor. this is a person who was preying upon young girls in our community who has been held accountable and held to answer. f
