david fitzpatrick, our producer is on the scene. david, what are you seeing again? >> they are some ways in back of the property. i see armed agents, police, fbi, their guns still resting on the fronts of their cars. i see about half a dozen, maybe eight guys in s.w.a.t. uniforms, military s.w.a.t. uniforms, at the bottom of the house. they are perhaps 50 to 60 yards away from the back of the house. anderson, i have to tell you, it's been quiet here for the past half hour or so. as i earlier reported, residents were led out and sometimes carried, little children carried by officers to safety. they were obviously residents of nearby houses. but right now, it's almost eerie. the quiet has settled over here. there are fewer officers than when i first arrived. there may be 50 or so that i can see roughly. when i first arrived there must have been more than 200 here. so they have obviously gone elsewhere. right now, fairly quiet here. >> brian todd had reported from about i think he said 300 yards away from another location with eyes on the scene, that authorities had ac

and my producer, david fitzpatrick, just observed the man. he is still being held here on the scene, which to me is somewhat peculiar. he was, as you say, ordered to strip naked completely. obviously, the police were very concerned because earlier in the evening during this chase we were told by the massachusetts state police spokesperson that multiple possible explosive devices were used against police here at the incident in watertown, from witnesses who saw and heard what happened, we believe that some of those possible explosive devices were actually thrown from a fleeing car at the police. so it was a very chaotic scene. it remains confusing with the caveat that the people of watertown are being advised with a dangerous person on the loose and to not even open their doors unless it is a policeman knocking on the other side of their doors. so a chaotic scene, we hope to get more information, but right now this is an active crime scene investigation with one suspect apparently being held in some sort of custody as police look for a second
