hawking's. i hope you will please tell her, nothing against you chris, i was hoping she was standing there. for those of you who read rollcall, as good as her husband david hawkins is, she's the smart one in the family. i also want to mention to people who taught me what it meant to be a crs staffer and to be nonpartisan, to care about the congress, and not about whether or not you got the credit. i learned it at the foot of a great master who was no longer with us, but every day want to do this man proud, but i want to mention, one person who was still there and to people who have retired. still at crs, and for those of you who have access to previous congressional quarterlies, the great walter who is probably the finest teacher of college and graduate students, just spent 50 years there and still loves going to work everyday, i think he's crazy, but all the power to him. and to retired staffers, one who worked on policy and one who is, as i used to say, my attorney, both of whom were nice enough despite being retired to come downtown at 8:00 a.m., and that's jean jones and mike campbell and i'd like to acknowledge them and then i want to tell a couple
