david henry is gathering details out of the delaware newsroom today.e joins us with an update. >> reporter: hey brian, work is going on around the clock every day since the bridge was closed last monday, but there is still a lot of work to be done and this bridge will be closed all summer and perhaps even longer. >> the expertise and the equipment and material to get this bridge reopen said on their way to delaware right now. >> the southbound lanes could be open by labor day with northbound opening a month later. the plan is to build entirely new foundations for the four tilting towers, it will replace existing steel pilings now bent. the new reinforced foundations. temporary support towers. to get traffic on the bridge as quickly as possible. >> if that fails it's on to plan b. >> we'll have to completely tear down this section of the bridge and build a new section. if that is the case, we'll be looking at later this year or early next year before you see traffic there. >> not good for drivers suffering through long delays and other routes. a passing
