david henry joins us now. >> reporter: the deliberations hit a snag and the jury deliberated for five hours before sending a note to the judge indicating that one of the jurors had become incapacitated for some reason. and this morning the judge replaced her with an alternate juror with no explanation. 28-year-old raghunandan yandamuri, his fate hangs in the balance right now, the jury is zod find him guilty of two counts of first degree murder. that could get him the death penalty. is he accused of killing saanvi venna, and her grandmother, police say it was a botched kidnap for ransom plot. raghunandan yandamuri acted as his own attorney. he failed to explain how he met them and how he was coerced. police say he acted alone and there is no evidence of anyone else being involved. courtroom observers predicted a speedy verdict. the jury debated for five hours before calling it quits. they are back at it for five hours. this is called a reconstituted jury and that means they have to start their deliberations all over again from scratch. live in norristown, david henry, channel 6 "actio
