james freeman and mattie duppler. i will see you two shortly. meantime, word on wall street. joining me now, sell point asset management chief strategist, davidpartner, bren talkington and danielle hughes. markets are mixed this morning after yesterday's selloff, the worst single day drop since june, led by technology stocks, facebook, apple and tesla. the volatility index surging to its highest level since july. is more volatility in store? danielle? >> i think so, dagen. good to see you. you know, speculators have been riding high since the s&p since the second quarter and they fell off the horse yesterday. much of the carnage can be attributed to the tech names as you mentioned, apple down 8%, tesla down 9%, amazon, 4.6. microsoft, almost 7%. and the single stock options market has really seen a tremendous amount of carnage and we attribute that to the mass amount of retail traders who have dove into that market too. so we're going to see more volatility. we are looking also at the chip stock names which is a painful corner of the market, nvidia down significantly yesterday, 9.3%, looking lower today. american micro as well, because china
