david kelly is a chief global strategist at j.p. morgan. our interest in a recent quote for you said there is potential for a recession risk in 2017. isthe first thing to realize the unemployment rate itself is one of the most stable predictors and the economy itself. the unemployment rate comes down to a very steady pace to between half a percent and 1%. this time, it's no different. at .8 per year. a year from now, we will be at 4.2% and april 2017, 3.8%. that's all good news but the other thing that important is in the last 45 years, we've never been low 3.8% to last thing to realize is when the unemployment rate troughs, very often does it follow a recession. it's kind of like when you ride a bicycle slowly, it's easy to get distracted. naturally growl more slowly so it's vulnerable to be put into recession. we could if we got lucky stay at a low employment rate bucking the historical trend. normally when it hits a trough, everyone feels great and within a year from you are in a recession. betty: is that almost always caused by the fed?

let's bring in diane swann and david kelly. diane, more jobs.ces that the fed pulls the trigger. this is the kind of report that makes janet yellen's job easier, isn't it? >> not only easier but lets us breathe easier. i feel like i have been pulled out of quicksand and put on firm footing. what it does, more than making yellen's job easier, it dramatically reduces the chance of a dissent not only among her inner circle but also among charlie evans who is voting at the december meeting. his last vote of the year. he tempered some of his tone today in response to the job report. one thing he was waiting for was an acceleration in wages. we saw that. participation still not what we want, but this gives us a chance to move in the right direction and an affirmation that the economy is strong enough to handle it. >> david, equity investors are not breathing a sigh of relief. we're lower across the board. it's not a sharp selloff or anything like that. why do you think stocks can't be resilient when the economy is growing 271,000 jobs and the unemploy

david faber has those numbers now. >> that's right, kelly. as you point out, the october 31st day was the last day that they were together, so to speak, as a public company. but they're reporting that last quarter and their full fiscal year both hp inc., of course, which contains pcs and printing, and hpe, which is the enterprise group, storage, servers, software, all of those different services. big picture here, hp inc., not quite as good as people might have anticipated. hpe, perhaps better than people anticipated. $14.1 billion was the revenue number from hpe, up 3% in constant currency. it is the second consecutive quarter of constant currency increases in revenue for the company. the enterprise group, a standout, had 9% growth in constant currency but did have actual real growth at 2% overall. industry standard servers quite strong. intersurprise services revenues seem to moderate a little. they've been down, but only down 2% in constant kucurrency. some new things they're doing in terms of infrastructure for the cloud, along with somet
