david lee miller has more from manhattan's upper east side. >> good afternoon dana from a very quiett side. nearly 18,000 new york city residents at this hour have tested positive for the coronavirus and that is a figure that officials expect will only continue to increase for the next three weeks. during his regular briefing new york governor andrew cuomo said closing down nonessential businesses in the state as well as others are making the difference at when it comes to combating the virus. he said this past sunday hospitalizations were doubling every two days but on tuesday hospital stays and hospitalizations were doubling every 3.4 days. the virus continues taking a toll on the states economy and he calls the senate's trillion dollar coronavirus stimulus deal" terrible" for new york. he said 3.8 billion would go for new york state but he expects by the time the crisis is over new york will have a $15 billion shortfall. he said the money in the bill hardly makes it dent in the budget. >> that's a drop in the bucket as to need to. i spoke to our house delegation, congressional del
