leon: we have new developments to report in the donovan hotel murder case in northwest. the two women arrested in the case pleaded guilty today. one says she met david measures met online and told him she was a man. she admitted to a rigid to meet him at the hotel where she stabbed in seven times and then robbed him. she pleaded guilty to one count of secondary murder. her girlfriend pleaded murder to conspiracy to commit robbery. alison: metro is discussing a new report showing an increase in crime in the first quarter of 2015, compared to the same. -- amount of time last year here at assaults jumped by 32%. most of them were involving knives. bicycle thefts went up by 20%. meanwhile, metro says the next 7000 series train cars will soon if the tracks. this trains renter service on the red line getting june 8 starting at 7:00 a.m. the first triple started shady grove. eight of the cars have been viewed -- debuted on the blue line here and that remains on hold until the federal government sff on the purchase. leon: the second in a series of public meetings about widening i-66 is tonight in about half an hour indiana. a brief presentation will be held

leon: johnson is charged with public intoxication and obstruction of justice the trial has been set for september 30. alison: the two women charged in the murder of an attorney leading guilty today. david messerschmitt was found stabbed to death back in february at the donovan hotel in northwest sam sweeney has details on this disturbing case here. reporter: both women said it was in the best interest to plead guilty. one admitted to talking with him online, posing as a man wanting to have gay sex. she dressed as a man and went to meet the attorney in his hotel room. he realized he was a woman and the situation quickly escalated. she stabbed him seven times. her girlfriend, dominic johnson waited outside the hotel. both say there was intent to rob the 30-year-old mary man tom and not kill him. they got away with $40, a metro card, and his cell phone. today, the victim's wife saw as prosecutors read the facts of the case. the accused seven looked the widow right knee eyes. the countless pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. she walked out of court on bond. >> this is a tragedy, the kind of crime that made no sense. my client feels tremendous sympathy for the victi
