i am david lindsay from department staff. this is a discretionary review request for a project at two dozen 123 pierce street -- 2001 hundred 23 pierce street. -- 2123 pierce street. the project includes installation of solar panels as well as a two-story, horizontal addition at the rear of the two- story, single-family house. the d.r. requester's concerns are the impact on privacy, open space. it is the position of staff that the profit complies with the planning code and is consistent with residential design guidelines, specifically those which affect the light and privacy of the adjacent properties. the project was reviewed by the residential design team following the discretionary review request. they founded to be a minimal rework expansion in terms of the deaf and height and proposed property line windows were not at the level of the d.r. requester's doubt. the project does not contain an extraordinary circumstances and we recommend the commission does not take discretionary review and approve the project as proposed. p
