abc 7 news reporter david louie joining us in the stoouth bay. he has been covering accident after accident. david? >> reporter: we sure have. i thought we would show you what all the storm runoff is doing to the guadeloupe river in downtown san jose. it's rolling at a pretty good clip. during and after storms, the highway patrol tells us in addition to what tips they gave you a second ago is you forget certain things when you come into intersections such as an intersection where the signals are out. drivers on san jose's far west side thought the worst of the storm was over but they forgot what to do when the traffic signals lose power. two vehicles collided when one didn't stop. >> these folks have been flying through here, 45, 50 miles an hour. clearly we have already had one incident with multiple other near misses. folks, you got to slow down. >> reporter: it took flares set out by firefighters and temporary stop signs to get drivers to obey the rules to treat this as a four-way stop. the reason power was out, power lines came down. apparentl

let's begin with abc 7 news reporter david louie live in the santa cruz mountains. david? >> reporter: i can confirm what spencer just reported. it is raining moderately here in the santa cruz mountains. today's storm did not trigger any mud slides but it did trigger small rock slides and a few power outages. the big concern is the next storm that's coming that could pose a greater risk, especially as the soil gets more saturated. the rain was so heavy at times it overwhelmed the downspout feeding water from the roof of a store. but the bursts of rain were followed by lighter showers and sometimes even breaks. so the santa cruz mountains didn't experience any mud slides or flooding. even in the san lorenzo river seemed rather tame as it passed by the town. by the time all the storms make their way through the mountains, the total rainfall should be about six inches, nearly double how much rain has fallen here since october. but this small rock slide reminded people more serious slides could be coming. three years ago, a major slide blocked nelson road in scotts valley, cut

abc 7 news reporter david louie has new details about this controversy. he is live in san jose tonight. david? >> reporter: well the company is a cybersecurity company in san mateo and it's telling the fbi that north korea didn't enter the picture until after the sony website and computer networks were hacked. now, there's a second company here in silicon valley another cybersecurity company, that says also that the fbi may be wrong. the fbi says it stands by its analysis that north korea hacked sony's website but it did send representatives to sit down with norse, a cybersecurity firm with offices in san mateo and st. louis. norse says its own investigation points to six people including an insider, a laid-off sony employee who helped a network of hackers called guardians of peace. >> at least one had ties to and critical knowledge of sony systems, i.p. addresses, credentials, et cetera and also had motive for being what i would say it would be upset at sony. >> reporter: a well-known silicon valley cybersecurity firm also worries if the fbi pointed the f

abc 7 news reporter david louie has the story live from santa clara. >> reporter: santa clara police deny the charge but say it does pit the credibility of the department against the accuser who happens to be a federal agent. take a look at some video showing what the police did back in march. santa clara police officers showed up in force with an assault weapon and sidearms drawn. also armed with a search warrant, they were looking for a dashboard video camera a relative said was stolen from his car. the accused thief was mohammed monee, a federal homeland security agent. >> this has been a pretty traumatic experience for our family. we have been a resident of santa clara for the past 20 years and everybody was shocked about what happened. >> reporter: this is video shot by a home security camera and provided to abc 7 news. the family also released still photos they say show their house after the raid. the dashboard camera was never found. a judge dismissed charges against him but he has hired an attorney who says santa clara police used excessive force and targeted him because he's
