david henry is live now at the montgomery county courthouse with the latest. >> reporter: rick, it is a case that shocked the 2ke8 wear valley two years ago a murdered grandmother and a missing baby and a $50,000 ransom note, the man is on trial at the montgomery county courthouse and he is acting as his own lawyer. it was back on october 22nd of 2012 when police were called to the marquee apartments and they found the body, her 10-month-old granddaughter saanvi was missing. police searched frank particularly for the baby and suspect and they were then led to the body of the baby in the basement of one of the apartment buildings by a 27-year-old. they say he is the one that left the $50,000 ransom note printed on his own computer. and he describes how he carried out the crime and it was video taped. since then he recanted it all. open statements were held today at the county courthouse and he confronted the jury saying that the police used reverse psychology on him, first getting a confession and building a fictitious case around it. he has and uphill battle, they have video surveilla
